It aids to strengthen research communities at national and international levels, for which an online event of initiation was successfully conducted on 9th April, 2021 on Zoom platform.

The main speaker for the event was Racheal Laugery who has been working in the field of research ethics for 12 years. The event was about research ethics for higher degree research which mainly focused on four topics from Belmont report; research merit and integrity, justice, beneficence and respect for the person. She discussed about how research on health sectors used to be conducted with their ethical complications and consequences pointing out Tuskagee Study (1932-1972), Northwick Park Study (2006) and Willow Brook Hepatitis Experiments (1955) as few examples. She stated the importance of practicing the ICH GCP guidelines while conducting research project to avoid potential ethical issues. Furthermore, the QA session was interactive where queries of the participants were discussed and answered spontaneously.
