Nerd Platoon, A Qodemedia R&D Team, is looking for self-motivated, highly productive, full-time Research/Engineering Interns.
Qualifications: ● Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent. ● Proven grasp in at least some of: linear algebra, differential equations, partial differential equations, nonlinear equations, geometry, and related numerical methods. ● Intermediate programming skills, preferably in C++ and/or Python. ● Ability to communicate complex research in a clear, precise, and actionable manner. ● Good understanding of scientific software accuracy and performance issues and trade-offs. ● Statistical knowledge, data science knowledge, data visualization, machine learning skills such as: regression, classification, clustering, NLP, image analysis, graph theory or similar will be a plus
Responsibilities: ● Perform research to advance the science and technology of intelligent machines ● Perform research that enables learning the semantics of data (images, video, text, audio, and other modalities) ● Devise better data-driven models of human behavior ● Contribute research that can be applied to company's product development ● Collaborate with software engineers and research scientists to develop physically-accurate, reliable, and fast models and algorithms. ● Tackle difficult modeling, mathematical, and implementation problems focusing on accuracy of simulation results, and reliability and performance of software. ● Optimize algorithms for real-time performance ● Operate independently to pursue research topics and identify new areas for investigation.
